This is an Ouroboros.
It comes from the Greeks, meaning “tail devourer,” which refers to the circular or figure-8 shape of a snake enveloping itself. It is of the oldest mythological symbols known to humans and has been viewed as a symbol of the regenerative cycle of life, enlightenment, renewal, and infinity.
